Olbrück
Overview.
Since the 13th century, the Lordship of
Olbrück became joint inheritance of numerous noble families (Eppstein,
Eich, Drachenfels, Schöneck, Orsbeck, Leyen, Waldbott of Bassenheim, etc.)
[6: tome III; p.95, 97] [4: Theil IV (1825); p.500f-501f].
In 1561, the Archbishop of Cologne, in his
capacity of overlord, enfeoffed the House of Waldbott of Bassenheim, with the
Castle and Lordship of Olbrück [4: Theil V (1826); p.327-328; Doc.#
158].
In 1794, the French army occupied the Lordship of
Olbrück, and later it was annexed to France.

Rhine, Heggbach placed under the sovereignty of Württemberg [16:
